Interviewing People

I love to interview people; always have, and probably always will. I have loved asking people questions from the time I was a child. If you can believe it, I didn't always want to be a journalist. When I originally went into college, I wanted to be a Nurse-Midwife (CNM). I was super interested in the human body and birthing. However, when I started to take some of the classes, I realized very quickly that I wasn't good at that type of learning they do in the medical field. I also could not understand anything I was being taught. I decided to take a break from school since I didn't know what steps to take next. What was supposed to be a semester-long break turned into a two-year break.

After that long, I decided to go to school and study what I already had a talent in: Journalism. God put this in my life at the perfect timing and I started to do what I loved to do, which is improve my writing, and learn from the world around me. I love interviewing people because I have an insatiable curiosity of people's stories and what makes them tick. I love that I get to learn from people. I love my college work and learning how to improve my writing. In short, I love what I do.
